About This Quote

This is a poem said by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This is his way of looking at the world. We see things in different colours according to our perception. Sometimes it’s hard to accept the reality other people are talking about.

We tend to cling to our own perception and refuse to be open to other ways regarding things or people. But, if we are willing to be flexible, open-minded and willing to see other points of view other than our own, we can see things differently. We can understand that what we were doing was wrong, but sooner or later we would change our mind and think about what would happen if we did not change our ways.

This story illustrates that if you want something, that sometimes you have to work hard for it.
